What is Metabolic Syndrome?

Metabolic Syndrome Anatomy Poster Comparison

According to the Mayo Clinic, metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions. It includes increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels. These conditions occur together, increasing risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

The 2003 edition Metabolic Syndrome has been a popular anatomy poster for customers of ClinicalPosters until being discontinued in 2018. The publisher then redesigned the anatomy poster for 2019. However, formatting and illustration falls short of ClinicalPosters aesthetic standards. So a different Understanding Metabolic Syndrome poster is available from another publisher. The table below provides a comparison.
