Metabolic Syndrome Anatomy Poster Comparison
What is Metabolic Syndrome?
According to the Mayo Clinic, metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions. It includes increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels. These conditions occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
Metabolic Syndrome has been a popular anatomy poster for customers of ClinicalPosters until being discontinued, following new guidelines for what constitutes high blood pressure published in November 2017.
The publisher took the opportunity to redesign the anatomy poster for 2019. However, formatting and illustration falls short of ClinicalPosters aesthetic standards so a different Understanding Metabolic Syndrome poster is available.
