Ready to Begin Collaborating
When a ClinicalNovellas story enters negotiation or option, it is removed from public circulation.
At that point, collaboration happens through authorized links surfaced in the customer portal. These links are intentional and phase-specific, designed to support different kinds of work.
There are two types of collaboration links.
Focused Review Link (Restricted Access)
Some links are created for focused review or presentation.
This type of link:
- Limits access to the specific story only
- Suppresses visibility of all other stories
- Does not allow comments or annotations
- Is ideal for review, investor presentation, or internal discussion
This mode prioritizes clarity and concentration over dialogue.
Collaboration Link (Phase-Based Access)
Other links support active collaboration during negotiation or contract phases.
These links:
- Provide access to a story that is no longer publicly visible
- Allow comments beneath the story
- Support private discussion while the story is suppressed from general access
This is where meaningful collaboration occurs during Phase 1 (option/negotiation) and Phase 2 (contract).
Using the Comment Field
The comment field beneath the story is the primary collaboration space.
When leaving notes:
- Begin your comment with Editorial, Strategy, or Legal
- Clearly describe intent or suggested placement
- Keep insertions focused and minimal
Approved notes may be reflected as color-coded annotations within the story.
These annotations:
- Do not alter the core text or audio
- Serve as reference points, not revisions
- Remain visible only to authorized collaborators
Most discussion should remain in the comment thread.
About Finale Access
Finale access is not available during Phase 1.
Access to the finale accompanies Phase 2 (contract) and reflects acquisition-level alignment. This ensures the complete narrative is revealed only when the collaboration has advanced to that stage.
Why Stories Are Suppressed
When a story is in negotiation or under contract:
- It is removed from public browsing
- It remains accessible through authorized links and normal navigation
- Private collaboration replaces public discovery
This keeps the process focused, traceable, and intentional.
Language & Audience Considerations
During expansion and collaboration, language choices should support accessibility across a wide audience. Profanity is evaluated in context and discouraged when it substitutes for characterization, tension, or narrative clarity.
If you need expanded access, extended timelines, or a change in collaboration mode, that happens in the next phase.
