Option fees to pause a story from market availability vary based on the story scope and the option length of the asset.

As a general guideline:

• Flash fiction options typically begin around $1.2K, or $5K+ when serialized or expansion potential is involved.
• Feature-scale stories generally begin in the $15K–$20K+ range, depending on scope, genre, and long-form or franchise considerations.

Six-month extensions are discounted.

Miniseries and anthology properties are evaluated separately.

Specific terms are discussed once a particular story and option structure are identified.
