Divinity: From Conception to Birth

Alexander Tsiaras reveals evidence of a Creator in birth.

LIFE “So perfectly organized a structure, it was hard not to attribute divinity to it.” During his TED Talk presentation, Alexander Tsiaras, associate professor of medicine and chief of scientific visualization at Yale University, was so impressed by its mathematical complexity, that he repeatedly attributed the miracle of conception and birth to “divinity.”

“Even though I am a mathematician, I look at this with marvel of how do these instruction sets not make these mistakes as they build what is us? It's a mystery, it's magic, it's divinity … And it's not just our own existence, but how does the woman's body understand to have genetic structure that not only builds her own, but then has the understanding that allows her to become a walking immunological, cardiovascular system that basically is a mobile system that can actually nurture, treat this child with a kind of marvel that is beyond, again, our comprehension — the magic that is existence, that is us?”  [1]

Psalm 139:13-16

This mathemetician was not the first to marvel at conception. His reaction coincides with the psalmist:

For you yourself produced my kidneys;
  You kept me screened off in the belly of my mother.

I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made.
  Your works are wonderful,
  As my soul is very well aware.

My bones were not hidden from you
  When I was made in secret,
  When I was woven in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw even the embryo of me,
  And in your book all its parts were down in writing,
  As regards the days when they were formed
  And there was not yet one among them.
